So frustrated...
I have had PCOS ever since I was a teenager. I would get my cycle only once or twice a year. Now my husband and I have been ttc for 3 years. My clinic has just told me at my last follicle check that we have exhausted their resources and the medication isn't working at all. I've been on clomid for 3 cycles (first 50 mg, then 100, then 150 mg) then switched to letrozole (femara) and dexamethasone for a few cycles (dosage was increased as well). My doctor has now referred me to a fertility specialist. They just called me this morning to set up an initial appointment. Of course their first available appointment isn't for two whole months! I'm so frustrated each month when I don't ovulate and then my cycle doesn't even start on its own. Now we have to wait two more months doing absolutely nothing! My doctor told me that ivf is probably my only option. How do you stay optimistic?
