Allowing child to witness birth of younger sibling?

Would you allow your child to attend and witness the birth of a younger sibling? If yes, at what age?

Nope. They do not need to see their mother spread eagle. 😷

My 3.5 yr old will be there in feb when I deliver. She'll be 4 by then and she knows the baby grows in your tummy, you push it out your coochie and it drinks milk from chi chis. She's seen births on discovery channel, her own, etc. she's excited.

Absolutely not. To me giving birth is a time to share with you and your SO.  no kids would ever be allowed in my delivery room until after the baby was here.

Sure I don't see why they can't be in the room with you when you give birth if they understand what's happening and aren't going to get in the way, freak out, anything like that

I would atleast allow them in the room & allow them to stand by my head.

I would never have wanted to see that. My doctor asked me today if any of my friends have had kids. I told him I'm the last one of everyone I know to finally have a baby. And he asked if I was ever in the room when they had their babies. Nope. That's weird. Not even with my best friend. And we are super super close.

I wouldn't but it also depends on the hosptial because a lot of hosptial won't let someone under a certain age to be in delivery room.

I was in the room with my mom during her c section with my little brother. I was about 11 or 12 and I remember getting lightheaded after they cut into her but I was fine after a second and held stood right next to her the rest of the time.

my daughter will be almost 3 when i deliver this baby at home and she will be there to witness the birth
