TTC but way to scared to go to the doctor or have my partner go to the doctor..

Im terrified of the doctors! Now TTC and worried if im infertile or my partner is infertile . I dont know what should i do. In high school every body told me it could take one time with out protected sex and you can get pregnant but for me its been six months! I really dont know what to do ... can anyone help me out or give me advice?
