Wee for morning test

I went to bed at 11pm last night and I'm struggling to get to sleep. It's not 4:45am. Do I actually have to of been asleep before I test with first morning wee or could I take now? I'm bursting for a wee and worried if I go now then it won't work when I get up in 2 hours?
