Repeat C-Section tips?

I will more than likely have a repeat C-section due to being high risk. For anyone who has had more than one C-section, what are some tips for making surgery/recovery easier? My first was unplanned so I'm somewhat pleased to get to schedule this one 😉

Take your meds!!! That's the best thing that you could do. And get up and walk. I know it's TMI, but walking will assist you with getting your bowels to move and the air out of your body ( fart 😄). Im not saying power walk, but just walking around your room or the ward, just in case you get tired and need to sit. This will make you so much more comfortable.Not having those pockets of gas sitting up under your ribs.  I have had 4 c-sections and I learn a little something new each time. Good luck.

Second time was much easier because I knew what to expect. Take your meds and take it easy so your body can heal.  Wrap your stomach or wear the belt when the doctor say it's safe.

my first was unscheduled as well, I feel this time around was so much smoother! we had everything planned, there was no rushing around or anxiously waiting what was going to happen next (I was induced the 1st time) I definitely wasn't nearly as exhausted either! over all it was much more calming, relaxed and better. recovery wasn't nearly as bad, bad because I forgot what it was like to have major surgery!) but this time around I took the pain medicine despite not wanting to and that seemed to a ton too!

My first was an emergency after a car crash- and that was chaos. Vertical c-section and 55 staples.

My second was an emergency at 34 weeks (my water broke) and 25 staples. It was a lot easier the second time around for me. (Though I was probably really motivated because my second son lived where as my first didn't). So I had that motivation to get up and get around to NICU and all that... But having a vertical c section puts added weeks of recovery time (8-10 weeks total)...

Bring lose fitting bottoms that you won't mind trashing. And rock those mesh underwear from the hospital as long as you need to. 
Seriously- take your meds. And don't be afraid to ask for something stronger.

Look into gentle c section practices and ask ur doctor if u want anything like skin on skin in the OR.
