I'm really into rough sex and I can't get my husband to be into it. We've been together for 8 yrs and I've told him  I need him to do certain things and he just won't. How can I make him open up to this?

Few options.

1) Talk to him again on a level that he can better understand your needs.

2) Educate him about your needs: watch related porn, look up information about rough sex and have him read it.

3) Talk to him about a shift in the marriage - 'seeing other people'

4) Role reversal. Let him start the make out session that leads to sex, once everything gets good and hot, take control of him for a while, tease him, ride him but don't let him have any release...let him relinquish control, feed off your passion and desire and maybe, just maybe, you'll drive him crazy enough to where he just flips you and takes you (got a bit too descriptive, my bad lol)

Maybe start slow and watch together some porn of the stuff you are into.  Depending on how much you are into. You can read blogs that ppl write about certain activities.   My bf and I are into rough sex and it works out but we started slow and communicated ALOT before and after to make sure we were both comfortable.

Maybe he's afraid to hurt you? You can't force someone to like doing something because you like it. Talk to him about it.
