I am with my SO for over 6 years and in that time he messed up and tarnished his name (years ago) I told him when we have a child (because he got his life on track and seeker help) I told him that our child will have my last name not his yet I see so many ppl look down on it what's the big deal? Technically the kid is coming out of me so what's wrong having the mothers last name if the father doesn't object?
