I don't think it alters the safety of the streets, but I think we will see more women resorting to walking them as a result of this. And it's a damn shame.

That was an internship I had last year. We investigated human trafficking. The pdf has an article in it about sex trafficking being online.

Backpage was used for trafficking children.  More often that regular sex workers,  people would place ads on there advertising a child.  I stand by the decision and hope this saves lives by making abuse harder.

Starting last week two major credit card companies will no longer make payments to this site. The credit card companies along with some law enforcement claim this will help curb human trafficking while workers claim it will make them less safe. What do you think?
