Is there a test that is preformed?

To detect if your baby may be a little person? I am currently six months along and watching TLC like an addict , and saw that the show " Little People Big World" is coming back with a new season and I just got to wondering. -- not trying to be rude just honestly curious.

They'd probably be able to tell in your 18 week anatomy scan if the limbs are measuring smaller than they should

They can tell by 20wks if your baby's head measures normal but it's legs and arms don't.

There's tests but the only way they would test you baby is if there were risk factors.

I believe they can test for sure with an amino, but there are risks to that. Some forms of dwarfism may show on an anatomy scan, but others (like Joe on the show) aren't obvious because their proportions start out "normal" but then they stop growing.

When they do your 20wk scan they should be able to tell if something is wrong because they take measurements of baby.

I was thinking that the other day too!! I figured anatomy scan is when they can. Ugh. Love that show and pretty much all of tlc!
