Cramps during early pregnancy

I am 6 weeks tomorrow and pretty much since I found out I was pregnant i started cramping. The father along I get the less often they come but they are getting more painful. I am able to feel then coming on and it's a wave of pain that makes me stop what I'm doing and hold my stomach then they're gone and I'm completely fine. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
