Bra Line/Rib Pain?

Question

Is anyone else having pain right at their bra line? Like your ribs are hurting and/or feel pressure constantly, especially when you are sitting. There are times I want to cry and/or scream because of it.

I get this, specifically underneath my right breast! It also feels like rippling movement sometimes, which I concluded was gas?! And it is only eased by lifting my boob and vigorously rubbing the area! Xx

Yes!!!!!! I just posted something called pain in chest and this is what I'm talking about. It starts out almost as a tingle/numb pain and then gets full on painful.

Anyone have a clue what it is?

I talked to my midwife about it who assured me it was normal.  She then went on to explain that it's because your ribs move a bit to accommodate your growing uterus and baby.

I've had the worse rib/& right underneath my ribs pain ever. I'm 30 weeks 5 days pregnant with twins, I've been having the pain since about 20 weeks. Its even worse because I'm carrying twins, & their feet are right in my ribs, so now it hurts even more than before. I haven't figured out a way to relieve the pain, I have so many different pains that I've never felt before, & never felt with my other two pregnancies, so besides massages that help a little, I figure I'm just gonna have to deal until their born 😞 Hope your rib pain gets better!!

I've been dealing with this same issue. I read that it is the uterus pressing up against the ribs. I'm 32 weeks and 2 days and the pain is terrible at times.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one!  So, my OB ordered some tests and said it could be gallbladder issue (specifically gallstones), liver inflammation, or shifting / changing cartilage.

For me, after an ultrasound, it turned out to be inflamed cartilage where my ribs meet the sternum.

Yes! It's onlywhen I wear an underwire bra though. I know it's not always pretty with big boobs but try no wire for a while and it should relieve some of the pain.

Yep! Baby likes to try and squeeze between my bra and ribs...not pleasant! It's like he's wedged on my right side.

Most of my mvm/discomfort is still below the belly button (barely ;), but am 5'11" and I have a long torso. I think I remember the pain you're experiencing from when I was pregnant with my first. Felt it in the last few weeks. Dr said it was the head pushing into my upper ribs
