What is clomid?

I live in London and have been trying to conceive for a while. Can you guys tell me what clomid is and how it can help and if it has helped anyone? If it did help how long did it take to get pregnant?

I have pcos so my gyn prescribed me clomid. It made me ovulate on my two rounds. The second round i got pregnant. Im 6weeks 5 days. 
Im sure I wouldnt have done it without it.

It's a medication that makes you ovulate. I did it one cycle and just had twins lol so it worked for me
