1st round Clomid and ultrasound?

Hey ladies!! :) my Dr is starting me on my first round of Clomid next month!! I'm nervous because I have not heard a lot of good things about it like the side effects and how often it doesn't work!! :/ does anyone have any advice?

Also my Dr says he wants to see me at CD 13 to do an ultrasound. What is he going to be looking for?

I started my fist round of clomid this past month and had no side effects. Still on my TWW. At your ultrasound, the docotor will see how many many follicles you have via internal ultrasound. They will measure all of the follicles that have potential. They will be able to tell you if you have multiple mature follicle (which could result in multiple babies). If you have mature follicles then you go home and have sex for the next couple of days. If you don't have any mature follicles, then your doctor will either make you wait until you start your period, or he may medically induce your period with a medication. In this event, they would most likely up your dose next month. :) Good Luck!
