Period or not?

Alright so, my period was due on the 9th. Weeks before that I thought I was pregnant took a pregnancy test but it came out negative. Now, I'm bleeding but it's brown and light not as much as a period. It only started happening today. I did have some light cramping but it's gone. I haven't tested since I've been late because I've been nervous id get another negative. Now this is happening. What's your opinion?
