Anyone using WIC services?

I'm about to make an appointment for WIC, I know they offer plenty of services for pregnant women and children. If you are on WIC, what services do you use?

Our WIC gives vouchers. You get eggs, milk, cheese, beans, juice, cereal, and some money for fruits and veggies. If you EBF, you get way more stuff.

My husband and I just signed up for WIC a couple of weeks ago. We went in for our appointment. The lady confirmed our identity's, looked at period of address, and my husband's pay information. After telling us that we had qualified, she took me into the back, weighed me, wrote down my height, and checked for anemia. She let us watch a video on how to use WIC checks, and 10 minutes later gave us our checks for the months on June, July, and August. I'm pregnant, and food items provided to us from WIC are basic things like Eggs, 2Gallons of milk, - gallon of milk, 12 dollars of  fruits and vegetables, canned beans, milk, cheese, cereal, and some other stuff. Granted, these food items aren't all on one check. :) you pick and choose which checks you would like to use at the grocery store according to what time period it has listed at the top.

Yes I live in the state of Georgia and we get vouchers that looks like checks. It's not much but it helps. I can get cereal ,cans of frozen juice, beans, a bunch of 1% milk, fresh fruit, veggies. And that's about all. They didn't asks me what I normally eat they just gave me those things to spilt of every month for three months until my next visit. After I have the baby if I breast feed for more than 6 weeks they give you a breast pump to keep and you get more in food. If you don't breastfeed you don't get the pump but the pay for formula which won't last a whole month so you will have to come out of pocket to pay for some and you don't get as much food.

Yes! I live in Texas and we get a card here. I'm a FTM so I receive 4 1/2 gallons of milk, 2 boxes of cereal , 3 bottles of orange juice, $10 worth of fresh fruit , dozen of eggs each month and more . It's very helpful plus when the baby comes if you're breastfeeding they provide a free pump and if you're using formula they pay for that too.

Well they ask you what you usually eat and from that they determine what money they'll give for those items. It's not much but it helps. They give you a list and a card you can use to get those items. They also provide you with feeding classes where they help you feed the baby right how to choose healthy foods for your baby and things like that. And the WIC card reboots very month and the give you a list for the firsth three months

During your pregnancy they will provide you with vouchers for basic food essentials for you to remain healthy during your pregnancy. Ex. Wheat bread, yogurt, fruits and veggies, low fat milk, eggs , healthy cereal, etc. once baby is born formula and baby food will be added to your checks. It's awesome I'm currently on WIC and they offer a lot of other help like donation centers and financial help like cash assistance etc.

You dont need an appointment. Just walk in. 
They ask qs what food you eat but still get the same thing as everyone else, only difference is of course if you are pregnant vs baby is born.

For example instead of low fat milk i got lactose milk. Etc once baby is here you get formula but if you decided to breastfeed they wont give it to you. Instead they give you more food. Unless you say half formula/ half breastfeed. Etc As baby grows they give you food based on their age, such as gerber, baby cereal etc. WIC service stops at age 5 (unless they change it) Also you get a $20 voucher for farmers market. Just bring ur ID aka booklet at the farmers marget wic stand. Once a month.
