Spinal n Epidural??

Question

I'm wondering what's the difference between a spinal and epidural ? With my first c section the have me several epidurals and non of the them would do affect on me so they have me general anesthesia, I told my ob this due that I'm having a c section on 8/3/15 so he said we would go with a spinal. So I wonder was is the difference and effects ??

I had spinal surgery with my last two c-sections and an episural with my first. I know the spinal makes my face itch like crazy as it's going out of my system.

I kno the spinal doesn't stay in your back like the epidural it's one dose of medicine directly into the spine
