Anybody had anything similar happen?

I'm about 9 weeks pregnant. Yesterday after having sex with my partner, I bled quite a bit for maybe 10 minutes or so, I went to a&e and they told me there was nothing they could do I was either having a miscarriage or it was just something that happens during pregnancy & I should contact my epu for an ultrasound. I phoned them and they said if the bleeding had stopped and I wasn't experiencing any cramping I should be ok. I have to wait till Thursday for a scan. Anybody been through anything similar? Can't help but worry until Thursday 😖
