How do you shop for a swim suite when you arent that big yet?

I am not ine to go swimming and wear swim suites but I am headed to see family this weekend and need one. Just had a couple questions on it. I prefer the two piece tankini. Plus a picture to give you an idea of how big I am right now.

- How do you determine what fits best and what's going to grow with your stomach? I was a size 10 per pregnancy and I am in a size 12 now because of the bloat even tho I am only 6 1/2 weeks.

- What is the best style to look at for seim wear?

- Do I go with something a little bigger in the top and bottom since I will be wearing it for the reast of the summer? (End summer I should be roughly 12+ weeks)

-Should I go with a maternity swim suit or regular?

I ask becuse I dont want to spend money on one than turn around and not be able to wear it later on.

If you go maternity, it's based on your pre pregnancy size and they consider growth with the way it's made. If you don't go maternity, I'd go up only a size or so. You have to guess lol for me I went up a size in bikini but that was it.

I got mine to fit my chest and bottoms that fit. I have been able to wear it most of my pregnancy. I would if you go tankini get a maternity one. If regular two piece get what fit now. You may not get to much bigger. But it all depends on your body. I haven't gained in my hips or chest just my belly.

This is the one I got from motherhood maternity. Fit in the chest from 20 weeks to now 35 weeks with twins. It was a little big in the water when I first got it around the belly but still fits.

I was a size 7/8-9/10 pre-pregnancy. I know every body shape is different so numbers don't necessarily help but I used my regular suits I already had. I could have gone up 1-2 sizes in the top but it depends on how fast/when yours grows. I didn't really need bigger bottoms, my hips have always been wider and I could feel it get a little snug in the hips but not til later on. If you look at an actual maternity store they usually have a belly you can put on to see what size but then you don't have to buy from there. I really suggest trying some on.

I'm actually wearing my normal suit right now and I'm 28+3. It's a two piece with the top more a-line, which is why it probably still works, and shorts.

I had to get a suit when I was t that big yet either. I got one that was a little bit on top so I had more room to grow. We all know swimsuits are not cheap! Good luck

If this is your last child then go regular size with rouching... Maybe XL size? 
If you plan on having more than invest in a maternity suit.  I think Target has some however I got both of mine from Notdstrom and love them!
