When did you let close family and friends know about you BFP?

I'm curious as to when you all let Close friends and family member in on the news! I'm considering letting my two best friends on the news very early. My theory is they'll know as soon as I don't order a glass of wine at our weekly girls dinner and Id rather have them by my side throughout this whole experience. Thoughts? Previous experiences?

I was going to wait til I was at least 13 wks to tell anyone, but my morning sickness was so bad I ended up telling people at 6 wks ( I mean my mother thought something was seriously wrong with me I was so sick so I didn't have the option of waiting).

We told my parents as soon as we had a positive blood test. We told his parents two weeks later when they were in town (they live 3 hours away). We started telling the rest of the family at 11w. Announced to the world at 13w via FB. Announced the gender to family and the world at 14w, we had done the blood test and hubby and I had kept it a secret since 12w.

Tell family and friends when you are ready.

I told close family and friends immediately. Its my first and we were so excited! Also, God forbid something happens, I want support.

My best friend is dating my older brother and they are expecting their first in a few weeks, and knew we were trying so as soon as I had squinters I called her and it was the best choice because she has been so supporting.

A week after finding out ourselves - we waited another 3 or 4 weeks before disclosing to other people why I was napping 4 times a day ;)
