# of periods before trying again?!

How many cycles have you waited until you try to conceive again? We are dying for a baby but don't want to try again too soon and have issues... Any advice?!

We didn't wait. I never got another period and got pregnant immediately!

My doctor told me to wait one cycle and I can try again. He said the likelihood of having another miscarriage is high following a miscarriage. He said my chances of having another miscarriage is lower if I don't count my miscarriage as a cycle and wait one full cycle and start again. My fiancé and I are very glad we at least know that we can conceive and will, hopefully, start trying soon.

We waited one cycle each time between miscarriages. Got pregnant both times right after. I lost again after the first miscarriage but am now pregnant again☺

Did you have a natural mc or a d&c? My d&c was start of jan. starting ttc 6 months after. Just wanted to be emotionally ready for another possible loss before trying.

I had to have a d&c, my body was just clinging on to baby and wouldn't pass naturally. So they said wait 3 but that seems so long 😁

One doc said wait three. One said don't wait. We ended up getting pregnant three months after the mc. But I wasn't interested in trying the first two. I was still healing emotionally.

I saw an OBGYN who specializes in poly cystic.  My miscarriage was a D and C And he advised waiting for three cycles to actively try because as I am possibly prone to miscarriage, the rate of miscarriage after a D and C rises slightly.  But the small rise in percentage of possible miscarriage was enough that he "strongly" advised waiting three full cycles so my lining would be strong enough for another pregnancy.  He also had some good points about being mentally ready to conceive again and needing to be in a positive place where I'm not as stressed and sad.  I had my miscarriage in May and we agreed to start trying again in September after three complete cycles.  
There are a lot of doctors who say if you have a natural miscarriage you can try after one cycle.  I definitely think it depends on how you feel.
