When did you tell close family about your BFP?

Question

I'm about 3 weeks along and going to be spending 4 days with the in-laws on a mini vacation. My mother in law is a nurse and very perceptive so if I don't say something she might just figure it out especially if I'm not drinking. I am not too worried about it being frowned upon because of the chance of miscarriage,  but is 3 weeks just too soon?

We told immediate family after getting a positive. I believe every life should be celebrated whether cut short or long lived. We waited to tell everyone else until closer to second trimester.

We told our parents and siblings immediately. If something went wrong I'd want their support. I told a couple close friends along the way. I'm almost 13 weeks and we'll probably make it public soon. If you've ever been through a m/c, it's kind of painful having friends or acquaintances asking you about the baby and having to explain. Our parents of course we Would want to tell right away.

We told both our parents and siblings as soon as we got a positive we feel parents should know right away you get lots of support but waiting until 3 month mark to let rest of family and friends know

Me personally. I would wait until around 10-12 weeks to announce it. After the first trimester. Due to the high risk factors of miscarriages goes down. I know all my friends waited between 12-16 weeks to till. But this is just my opinion. =]

I told my mother before I even took a pregnancy test.  We told his family at almost 6 weeks (but that's also because we are getting married right away because we aren't yet)
