CM... Cervical position? Helllp!!!

Okay, so... I'm relatively (and by "relatively," I mean extremely) new to all of this cervix-checking mumbo jumbo. I didn't even know anyone other than a medical professional could find my stupid cervix until I got this app... And I'm a nurse, myself.

So. I'm supposed to be in my fertile window as of Monday. Monday my cervix was high and firm and almost open. Yesterday it was high and softer and open. Today it is low and soft and open. What could all of that mean? I thought it was supposed to be soft and high when I am ovulating? I'm not sure what the different phases mean.

Also, I'm not sure what the consistency of the mucous I'm looking for is! Monday it was sticky. Yesterday it was kind of egg white. Today it's watery/sticky.

One more thing - what is the significance of the bbt? Like... What trend am I looking for with it? Hellllp!!!!
