My princess came July 11 :) due date July 13

Natalie • Happily married to my best friend. Expecting our 2nd child.
Proud to announce the arrival of my little one, delivered July 11 (due date July 13) at 7 lbs 10 oz and 53 cm.
Some may recognize my recent posts a few days ago being concerned about my water breaking which my MW checked twice with speculum exam and deemed my waters were in tact. Leaking continued for a week and I noticed a change in color from clear leakage to yellow which was a cause of concern for me thinking my waters was leaking and baby may have pooper and now the risk of infection.
MW then asked for a second opinion as she felt I was calling boy who cried wolf. The OBGYN on duty checked me and my waters was broken and I was in fact already 5cm!!!
I started contractions July 10 at 1pm and they were all very well manageable. I saw that OBGYN at 4:30pm when she confirmed waters broken and dilation at 5cm. I laboured through until midnight without medication and reached 8cm. I started caking for epi at 10pm I was probably about 7cm then. She was so reluctant to give it to me and it really upset me - she kept insisting it wasn't part of my "birth plan" - well things change! I demanded for it at least 3x bride she finally ordered it. I was worried that as u the anaestheologist was being shared with the rest of the hospital that by the time he would come I would already need to push.
Lucky for me, he came just in time. He arrived 1.5 hours later (btw,
For those wondering the epi does not hurt and I am a big needle phobic person). So at midnight he arrived and gave me a slice of heaven. It worked quickly and all the pain disappeared. I was able to nap and i reached 10cm by around 2am. But my MW wanted to nap!!! Since she was napping it also gave me hat time in between to rest. So she came back at 6am and I started pushing then. It took 1.25 hour to get head out - it was about 5 pushes/contractions. And one last push and the rest was out!!
I am so glad I had the epi!!! I couldn't have done it without it!
