Prenatal yoga?

So I have been wanting to go to a prenatal yoga class and I found one that is a $30 for  3 classes for beginners. I am septical because I always feel judged when I go to baby things by other woman in the class. Probably just my mind because I was heavy before I got pregnant (picture is of me now) but I can't help it. Do you think I should just go? I never did yoga before I got pregnant but my doctor was talking to me about it.

Go for it! Prenatal yoga is a totally different beast from your average class. Everyone's balance is wonky, no one can bend like usual, and inevitably some poor woman is farting up a storm 😏 It really fosters a sense of comeraderie because we're all in the same weird boat, adjusting to the new shape of our bodies. There is no competition, no judgement, just an hour of breathing, stretching, and encouragement from other women. It's been a wholly positive experience for me, so I would definitely encourage you to give it a try!

Ask to take the class before you buy a package. Most studios will allow this. Then, if you are comfortable and like it, you can get the package. That's what I do. Also, I've been  going to yoga and prenatal yoga for years now and I don't have the traditional yoga body or expensive workout clothes. And I don't really feel judged and if I am having an insecure day, I hang out in the back row and just focus on relaxing. Just remember that if someone is looking at you while they are doing yoga, they are doing it wrong! Yoga is about focus on breath and their own journey. Good luck, I hope you enjoy it! I love love love yoga. The entire culture is very accepting. Don't be scared. Just do it! You will be glad you did. You might even get addicted, like me! ;)

I do yoga 3-4 times per week. It makes me feel great by relieving stress and it's great exercise. Yoga is all about accepting yourself and your individual practice so try hard not to compare yourself with others. Get your yoga on! 🙏

Do it!! Im halfway through a 6 week class ans cant rave enough about it. I feel great after and totally connected with my baby in a different way. The benefits are numerous but I am really looking forward to it helping me during labor and delivery. As far as being self conscious, like someone else said... If someone is looking at you, they're doing it wrong. It really is a self journey and focused all on you. I did a couple if free videos on YouTube before going. I think they wete called apple yoga?

Do it girl!!! Yoga is so great for your body, it will thank you! Yoga is all about your personal journey and practice, don't worry about what everyone else might be thinking..... Do it for you and baby! I live in a really tiny town and can't find prenatal yoga class around me (I've been practicing for about 3 years now...) so I've settled for a dvd at home. Go and enjoy it!

Never let other people's thoughts stop you from doing something you really want to do. If you want to go then you should go and if they look at you funny give them the same look back.

A lot of the prenatal yoga classes I've found are only once a month and my schedule hasn't allowed me to go to any classes. I've gone to classes pre-pregnancy, so I'm pretty confident in watching YouTube videos. I think you should give it a try, especially if your doctor recommends it. I need it for my back.

Watch some videos on YouTube to get familiar with what you'll experience. It's not as bad as it seems when you have a trained instructor helping you modify.
