It's a girl!
Birth plan went out the window. Wanted an all natural, drug and intervention free birth. Planned to labor in the water at the hospital with the help of my doula. At 41+5 the baby was low on fluid and showed no signs of coming so I was induced with Cervidil at 7PM on July 12. At 1:30 AM the midwife took out the Cervidil because contractions were too close together. By 11 AM the contractions were so intense that I almost felt like pushing. However, the baby's heart rate was dropping so low they wouldn't let me get in the water so they could monitor it. They checked me and I was only at 4 cm, right after my doula promised me I was in transition. I finally caved and asked for an epi. Contractions on top of each other. As soon as the epi was in I was told the heart rate was so low I needed an emergency c section. They even bumped someone else out of the operating room so they could get me in there. At 11:26 my baby girl was born and is perfectly happy and healthy. She's breastfeeding and napping like a champ. I'm disappointed my body couldn't do it but im so thankful she is ok. 😍😍
