Where do babies come from??

So I have an 8 year old son, and I am pregnant due 9/22.. But he is asking how babies are made?!?! And my husband and I think he's to young for the full real answer. So what should we tell him?

I would just tell him the truth. At 8 years old, he's in school. You don't want him to learn from other kids because you have no idea what they could say! My Mom told me at 6 because I asked. I didn't really understand most of it, but I knew I could ask her any questions and she would tell the truth. That meant I would always turn to her instead of other people when I had questions.

My daughter is three, she asked and I told her that when mommies and daddies love each other, sometimes their love makes a baby. The baby grows in the mommy's belly until it is big enough to come out. She then asked where the baby comes out...lol! I just told her the truth. It comes out the heehaw( that's what she calls it). She said she wants to have one someday. And that was that.

My son is 6 and asked this same question. He is very excited about becoming a big brother, and might I add very inquisitive. My answer was "Babies start out as angel seeds in heaven, and when mommy and daddy's pray and ask God for one, he blesses them when he thinks they're ready, and plants the seed in mommies belly"... Pretty Awesome answer if u ask me, my son believes it ☺️😇

There are some great age appropriate books you can read with him. They start as young as age 4 or 5. I would suggest doing those rather than some kind of story. They really helped my 10 year old when her friends at school were spreading crazy things around the classroom.

It's totally up to you I would say he's still too young to know the truth,maybe make up a lil story  or something for him he will be pleased and understand more I think then if you were to try to explain the real thing.My son he's 5 will be 6 in sep a week before his sister is due, and he didn't quite ask me that but  he asked me "How does the baby come out" lol me and hubby thought it was so hilarious how they are so young and so curious. We just made up a little story and said "The doctor has a magic toy that he puts on my tummy and baby comes out, and mommy won't be hurt and baby sister will be okay"he was concerned that I would be in pain and didn't want me to hurt so instead of scaring him we simply told him that.Now he can't wait till she's here. Lol

We have a 7 year old son and we told him it takes a man and woman to make a baby. The man puts the baby inside Mommy, where he/she will be safe and grow for 9 months. He accepted the answer and if he wants to know how the Man put the baby there, we'll tell him. My son is a realist and always wants to know the truth of things. He knows what a period is, and why we have one, and he knows where the baby comes out and what's going to happen during delivery.

It's kinda scary when kids start asking those questions! My son is 4 and asked if I'm going to poop out the baby. I had to laugh and I told him that when he was born the Drs had to cut my tummy and take him out and that's what will happened this time. I even showed him my scar. It's the truth but the kids version. He hasn't asked how baby got in there tho! When he does I'm sure we will tell him that mommy and daddy both made the baby but it has to stay in mommys tummy so it can grow and become healthy. Kind of a very vague answer but it would work for our son! Your son is older so he might need more to his answer! Good luck!
