False labor frustration

2 am this morning I woke up to bad cramps that progressed into contractions mixed with cramp feeling aka pain enough to make me wince. I contracted for a couple hours before timing. At that point they were coming every 2.5 to 5.5 min apart and hurting worse. Husband insisted I call l&d to see if we should come in. They said go get checked so off we went. Turns out it was/is false labor. *Sigh* I've been cramping or contracting pretty much daily for over 3 weeks. I thought for sure this was finally the true start of it. Now I'm back home with a sore pelvis and spotting from a rough cervix check and nothing but embarrassment to show for it. So tired of this kid/my body jerking me around! Just had to vent.
