PCOS?

Hi ladies,

I apologize for the million questions this week, but I am new to this whole process.

I had my baseline ultrasound this morning, and the nurse found a "string of pearls" on my right ovary, indicating that I may have PCOS. My left ovary looked "normal" to her. She said she can't diagnose me, but she voiced her concerns. Is it possible to have this on one ovary? I have zero signs of PCOS (normal cycle even though at long at 33-37 days and positive OPK every month around days 18-21).

Has anyone had any experience with a situation like this?

My progesterone was a level 7 when I was tested after my positive OPK...I'm not sure if this is any indication either. I was told that I ovulated but the levels were not ideal.

I'll start clomid today and hopefully this helps.

I was recently diagnosed too. I had zero symptoms until I missed a period. My testosterone level came back normal. On my second round of clomid now. Praying for a baby!

I also have PCOS and it took a while to diagnose because of my lack of symptoms. 
My doc says PCOS is a spectrum, because some people have terrible symptoms whilst others hardly notice. 
Mine chose not to medicate because I am managing it with diet. 
It is possible to have different amounts of cysts on your ovaries. And it changes from time to time.
My last scan showed 15 on my left an 26 on my right, and the scan before that I had 27 on the left and 32 on the right.

My doctor says that I have all the symptoms of PCOS, but she doesn't want to give me lab work, she said that they treat PCOS and irregular periods all the same when trying to conceive.

Are they testing your testosterone levels as well because high testosterone levels are something that is present with PCOS?
