Can't take hormonal birth control

So, about a year and a half ago, I was admitted into the ICU for multiple pulmonary embolisms in my lungs. They came to the conclusion that the clots were a result of being on the pill. Now, I'm forbidden to ever be on hormonal birth control. My fiancé and I are not planning on having kids, so we've been relying on condoms. Everyone knows how much better sex feels with a condom on (not) and we've already have one magically ripped off by my powerful lady chicken... So this situation is getting really old, really fast.

Can anyone relate to this? I've had so many issues that hormonal bc helped with (PMDD, acne, hormonal imbalances) and it's been such a long process to adjust to not being on it anymore... And having all those issues flare up again, with no relief, really SUCKS.

As for not wanting kids, the condom coming off really scared the shit out of us. I asked my doctor about the copper IUD, but since I have no offspring, she's telling me no. Has anyone without children had it implanted? I've heard it can have a lot of complications.

Please, let me not be alone on this! Lol. I feel so jealous of those that live comfortably on birth control, now! Lmao... I WANT THAT!!
