CC Room Rules - MUST READ FIRST

Put a few intelligent people in a room together and sure enough there will be some topics that they passionately disagree on. Now imagine the discussion that tens of thousands of people can have. Well - now Glow has a room for these discussions: Controversy Corner (CC). This is a room to discuss the news, views about the world, and engage in friendly debate.

There are a few rules in this room:

1. Do not attack anyone personally. No name-calling. No bullying. No cursing at each other or other users. Do not create topics that call out individuals by name or description. Doing so will get you permanently banned from the Glow Community with only two warning time-outs.

2. Please do not create topics that attack a sub-group of users under the thin-veil of creating a discussion. Don't create topics such as "Why are women on Glow so mean?" - this defeats the purpose of this room which is to have constructive conversations.

3. No new topics about abortion are allowed. If you'd like to discuss abortion, you can do so on the 2 posts (there's a poll and a topic) that already exist in this room. ANY other polls or topics created on abortion will be deleted without comment and may earn you a 1-day suspension. 

4. Please do not create a topic that is already being discussed in the top 50 topics in this room. Duplicate topics will be deleted without comment. 

5. No anonymous posts. In other Glow rooms, absolutely, as sometimes anonymity is required when you seek support or help. Here in CC, you have to stand by your words.  Any anonymous topics/polls will be deleted without comment. 

6. Certain Race/Gender topics are not permitted in CC any more - please use the Race, Gender & LGBT 101 group. Any race/gender topics will be moved to that room or deleted without comment. This does not include topics about things that affect specific groups of people (e.g a story about racialized policing), but we don't want to see any topics debating race/gender ("is race x....?" "Do trans people...?" Debate ideas, not people.) If you aren't sure if your topic applies, please ask an admin. 

7. Please do not create any "share your unpopular opinion" posts here, they will be removed.
