So. I have three boys right now. And I have this particular tattoo, that is usually always hidden unless I'm wearing a bikini. Well my oldest son is 8, and he read what it said and asked why I have it. Then I realized that I have NEVER given a thought to discuss the "sex" talk with him. When is a good age for that and how do I approach it?! 😅 Not sure which group to post this to. LOL

I honestly think if they ask just tell them! My dad told me and my sister when we were quite young I was about 5 and she was 3 and he got the big family doctor book out and showed us pictures! My sister got a bit obsessed and kept wanting to get the book out to look! X x

I think it depends on the child. But if he goes to public school you might as well tell him. I knew EVERYTHING by third grade because of a kid that liked to watch porn and told everyone the details :/

My mom started talking to me about it when I was 6, in small simple words i would understand and as I got older she explained a bit more.

My mom gave it to me when I was 8. My aunt gave it to her kids when they were like 5. I liked 8. I feel like I understood more than a 5 year old would. My other aunt had a book that she let her kids read. I can't remember what it was called. But it was really straightforward. But I also feel like I could ask my mom anything after she told me. I don't think if she just gave me a book to read I would feel comfortable asking her questions.

Something's can come around and bite you in the ass later in life smh when my kids were younger I was the cool pretty mom to them now that there teenagers they want to know why there mom has tattoos and weird hair and my friends moms are "normal" once my kids learned to read I got rid of all my shirts with weird writing on them I bought my kids a book called getting to know there body when they were younger and I'm very honest with the big ones they think I'm gross if I say the word penis or vagina they get so mad must be the age

Really depends on the child. My oldest is 6 and I don't feel he's ready. They know how babies are born but as for how they're made they don't know. I told them God put the baby in me :) lol. My mom told me when I was 7/8 so I may see how mature they are then. I definitely want to tell them before someone at school does.
