Am I the only one that gets upset a bit when being compared to someone carrying just 1 baby??

My best friend is pregnant with her 2nd child and I'm in my first pregnancy with twins. She feels the need to correct me on anything I say related to my pregnancy even though she's never been pregnant with twins. For example: I read that you have to gain between 15 and 20kg with a twin pregnancy. She'll then tell me that I'm wrong and that it sounds ridiculous. Or when I told her that 18 weeks is about half way for me. (I'm having a cesarean at 37 weeks of I'm lucky enough to make it that far). 'Half way is 20 weeks not 18.' Yeah, well I'm having twins wise ass! I'm kind of tired of reminding her that our pregnancies are slightly different as I'm carrying 2 babies!

I've had 4 singleton pregnancies, and now this twin one.
The twin one is hardest by far, wouldn't wish it on anyone. Having just one seems like a luxury now. Haha.
People look at me like I'm crazy or wanted this. I tell them it was an accident and they get all wide eyed and eeekk faced. Hahha.

It depends. Most people I talk to at work are older and very excited or without children for various reasons.  We joke around a lot about how I'm going to need a chair without wheels or how I wont be able to get close enough to the table to work In a few months. But they sometimes will try to give advice about things or say how far along they were when they were my size. It's annoying but I just try tore member that they are only trying to help.

But your friend needs to realize how different the situations are between singleton and twin pregnancy. It's a great feeling hitting the halfway point!

Carrying multiples is def different than carrying one!! I don't think many ppl realize that until their carrying multiples. Im 31 weeks 5 days pregnant with twins, & I have had two singleton pregnancies. This pregnancy is by far the hardest pregnancy I've had!! I never had any of these kind of pains with my other pregnancies, swelling, or complications. Carrying more than one is really really hard on your body!! I have a couple of friends, & know a couple other people that are pregnant, & some of them don't understand how different it is. Some act like I shouldn't be in as much pain as I'm in, if only they knew!! I sure as hell didn't realize how hard it would be, we got pregnant naturally, & unexpectedly, & I wouldn't trade pregnant with my twins if I could, but every day is a struggle, everyday I'm sore, in pain, I'm constantly swollen from my toes up to my knees. Braxton hicks are super uncomfortable, the pains in my abdomen, sides, back, legs, & pelvis are so bad. Plus the constant worrying about preterm labor, & complications. I went into premature labor @ 28 weeks, was hospitalized for 5 days, I've had 4 steroid shots. They put me on strict bed rest, the doctors monitor the babies growth because their a little on the small side. Then they found that baby B's cord blood flow is having high resistance, so I have to go to the high risk ob every week, twice a week for ultrasounds, NST, bpp's, it showed reverse flow once, thankfully it hasn't happened again since, but if it is to show it again they'll have to deliver me right then. So every appt is nerve racking, were
always worried, & praying we can make it to at least 34-36 weeks.

It is def different when your carrying multiples but I don't think some moms who have only carried one truly get it

I'm only carrying one. But my husband has a twin brother and even tho his mom is a badass and was probably moving cows when she was 9 months pregnant, she does complain that her stomach is numb from being pregnant with them. I can't imagine what it's like to carry two. One is rough enough as it is!

Yes!!!! I have a girl I work with who is about 2 months ahead of me and she just says "you will know what I am talking about soon" girl I already do! I am carrying twins! Already measuring well ahead of anyone near my gestation, I have aches and pains everywhere, and my feet swell like crazy!!!! Ugh.... I have an entire other baby in there how do people not realize this
