Premature baby? How did you find out? Or known?

How did you find out you were going to have a premature baby? 
Any signs or symptoms?

I had no idea my daughter was going to be a premie. She just decided at exactly 35 weeks she was ready to come. She was 5 lb 4 oz.

I was having a completely normal and healthy 3rd pregnancy. My previous two children arrived at 38w so I had no history of. Preterm births. At 35w3d had some bleeding, OB had me go in to hospital to get checked. I was dilated to a 1-1/2 and 60%effaced, and that was fine.. No contractions however they admitted me for pre-eclampsia. I had just had a dr appt the day before and BP was fine and no protein in my urine, however next day suddenly that happens. They admitted me for 3 days to watch my Bp. Let me go home with plans to induce at 37w. I was home for a day an a half, on bedrest. Woke up, my water broke at 36w1d, so went back to hospital and little lady arrived that day. 5lb4oz and 18-1/2in long. Completely healthy and strong! She was able to come home with us after two days. Needed no interventions- breathing, feeding and temps all great! Very blessed everything went so well. We love her so!

I went into spontaneous labour at 28+4 weeks. I gave birth at 28+6 after a perfectly healthy pregnancy. After tests there was no reason why this happened. Placenta, umbilical cord, baby and I were all fine! Sometimes these things happen for no reason and with no warning.

You most likely won't know until they are here! ...Or if you go into labor prior to 37 weeks & that doesn't necessarily mean baby will be a premie size..

I was complaining of headaches and got diagnosed at 36 weeks with gestational hypertension. They ordered a growth scan and I've now been told my baby is in the 4th percentile so I need another scan to confirm.

I was pregnant with twins so I knew there was a good chance I would with them I kept telling everyone they would probably come at 36 weeks and they did. However I didn't go into labor myself I had preeclampsia and got sent to the hospital for emergency c section
