Is God's plan for us not to have children?

My husband and I have been trying for 4 1/2 years. We haven't seen a specialist but my regular Ob/Gyn has done all the tests she can. All tests come back normal. I'm at my wits end. It's hard for me to watch friends and family pop out kids any time they want, or even "by accident." 
My question is ...
If it's God plan for us not to have children, would He have put such a deep desire in my heart? That just seems cruel and I know God is too loving for that.

In Genesis it says to overpopulated the earth. I am pretty sure His best desire is to reproduce.

Have you looked into adoption? Maybe he put that strong desire in your heart so you can adopt a baby. A baby that needs a home and love, you could change a life! I am sorry you are going through this, everything happens for a reason. It's in the lords hands! He has a plan for you and your husband, and I wish you the very best of luck. No. Straight up, no. If God controlled all of those individual tiny little things according to who deserves what, babies would never die, girls would never get raped, and no child would be abused. 
For whatever reason, He leaves these things up to chance.

Ive asked this same question for the past 20 months. I know it is nowhere near as long as you but I've been praying for answers. You are right, that he puts those desires there. Maybe he wants you too adopt and that is in His plan. You have a desire to be a mother and that would lead you to that. I want to carry a child so bad but I think part of it for me anyways is being selfish and not looking at the bigger picture of easing that child. Just some insight. Trust God and he will take care of you. :)
