Birth Control: IUD or Nexplanon?

I'm currently pregnant with my first baby but I have been discussing what BC i would like to use after I give birth and I've narrowed it down to either the IUD or Nexplanon. I'd like to hear other womens experience with these two. How were your periods? Did you have trouble getting pregnant after having it removed? What side effects did you have?

I had the copper IUD for almost two yrs after my first child. I have wouldn't recommend anyone to get anything in your body that you can't remove yourself. I had a lot of complications like hair loss, acne, pelvic pains, weight gain, horrible smelling discharge, terrible cramps, heavier periods and I just didn't feel like myself anymore. My sex life went down hill because it was so painful due to the IUD, like I could feel the pressure and sharp pains while being intimate. I had to switch several drs to get it remove cause whenever I complained about my complications, they would always tell me that it was nothing wrong or out of place. Its been 3 weeks since its been removed and my sex life is ALOT better and all my other symptoms have gone away.

I am on neplonon and I hate it! I have had it since December and get my period for like a month and a half every time and then have like a week off and it starts all over! It has very much affected my emotional well being (I'm much more crazy than usual lol) and I have a lot of pregnancy symptoms! But everyone reacts differently so who knows:)

I had the nexplanon/implanon and it was a really bad decision for me. Severe acne, weight gain and periods lasting 25 days or more. I had it in for 7 months and I've had it out for 3 weeks now and my skin has already cleared up and I've lost 1kg. I would never get it again.

I had Nexplanon for about a year and a half. My husband hated the way it felt in my arm but otherwise no real complaints. I had a little irregular bleeding but I think that's common with progesterone. I got it take out on June 8 and conceived within 2 weeks. Note: It took me 11 months the first time.

I'm currently on the neplanon and I love it when is comes to having my period I get cramps here or there and very light bleeding and sometimes spotting I can't complain about it

I have had bit the iud didn't like I had this pain for five months on the left side of my tummy when I had the iud had lots of scans to see what was wrong nothing there found out I had ibs from having the iud out

I had a Mirena for about 2 years and it was alright.  I had a lot of baby weight on still and didn't lose much of it until after it was out. I had a couple months of odd spotting and irregular (in my book) periods, helped a lot with my cramping, then no period for about 6 months. My ex husband complained about the strings poking him now and then but that was a quick fix at the doctors office. I had it removed after about two years and started losing the weight I had still packed on rather quickly and did a pill afterwards for a wile.

I have a hard time telling people about my HORRIBLE PROBLEMS I have experienced from the IUD because it's not like that for everyone who goes on it. However, from my experience I had some mild at first reactions to the IUD, that then turned into medium size problems to now huge problems that I didn't know I even had until it was removed.  With that being said I'm not sure if my problems now will ever go away, leaving me scared that I might not be able to have another kid again. I guess only time will tell with my situation.

I have Nexplanon and I've had it in for about 4 months! I had some light bleeding for 2.5 months but it went away! I haven't had any other problems with it!
