Low lying placenta?

Question

Just got the call that my placenta is low lying. It's 1.65cm from my cervix. I didn't have this with my last pregnancy.

Does any have experiences with this? They didn't give me any restrictions, just said they'd do a follow up scan at 32 weeks and if it hadn't resolved itself they wouldn't let me labor and I would have to schedule a C section.

Mines low, too. I'm getting another ultrasound in a couple of weeks to see if it's moved up. I'm on bed rest and pelvic rest.

Mine is low lying as well. They didn't tell me how low but I have a follow up scan at 32 weeks. They told me that it can only move up at this point if it does anything. But they didn't say anything about c section.

I have a low lying placenta, too. He said that I will have another ultrasound at 32 weeks to make sure. He mentioned that what happens is that as your cervix softens the part close to the cervix softens and disintegrates, and the placenta regenerates itself on top, therefore moving up.

Mine is about 2 cm. same thing, no restrictions and they'll just keep checking until it's resolved. Doc said its attached in a fixed place, but your uterus continues to stretch, which 'moves' it. She said low-lying almost always fixes itself!
