Cultural appropriation? Girl name

Question

So we are white and American. We LOVE the name Zuri. It's Swahili and means beautiful. I know it's most common in Mexico currently and is used more often by African American parents. So my question is is it inappropriate for us to use for our daughter? Also I had my heart set on Zuri James (James is a family name) and I just found out Lebron James names his daughter Zhuri. :/ should that stop me from using it?

Go for it. You're reading a little to much into it. No one is going to look at your little girl and think "she's cute but can you believe her parents gave her an African name"...they will look at her and say " she's cute and I love her name!" Lol 😋   was raised in Hawaii and my daughter was born there. Her middle name is Hawaiian. Not one person has been bothered by the fact that we have no Hawaiian ancestry...and only sports people will know what Lebron named his daughter, I didn't. I think it's cute and original, especially with the use of James for a girl. The fact that James is a family name makes it even better!
