Membrane stripping ??

Anyone who has had this done before , first off , how has the success rate been looking ? And second , does it hurt ??

I had it done at 38 weeks 4 days. I was two cm dilated and partially effaced when I went to the office around 2. Took four flights of stairs down to the lobby walked until my feet hurt and around 5 that evening contractions started. Around 9 that night they were close together but not consistent. I waited until 9 the following morning to call the doctor when my contractions were 5 minutes apart and when I got to the office I was 6 almost 7 cm.

I had it done and then my midwife put two Evening Primrose Capsules up there and 2 days later I was in labor.

I got it done. I would only ever recommend it if you're already progressing. I was 70% effaced and 3 cm. Had it done around 430pm and my water broke at 3am. Baby was here before noon.

I had it done but only when I was in slow early labour so can't comment on whether it worked as labour had already begun! It didn't hurt me at all though. Wasn't particularly comfortably or pleasant, but no pain.

I had it done and did Accupuncture to induce labor the same day. Not sure if it was a combination of both but I went into labor later that day. Stripping your membranes hurt like hell for me 😖 But I have a pretty low pain tolerance lol

I had it done when is been having contractions for a week. It wasn't comfortable at all, and it didn't really do much. I wouldn't do it again.

I had mine stripped at 38 weeks 5 days. My appt was at 230 in the afternoon, contractions started shortly after, I got to the hospital at 430 and was admitted. I was able to receive my epidural at 7 and the doctor was going to break my water after that, but when he came in to do it, my water broke on its own and 45 minutes later my son was born at 1047pm. (Keep in mind I was 6cm already when my Dr stripped my membranes)
