Afraid to move 3,000 miles for college
I'm moving from Connecticut to southern California (CSUSM) for college in two weeks. 3,000 miles away from home and I'm terrified about how much I'm gonna miss my mom mostly and my dogs. I'll see her in December but I've never been that long without her.
I'm afraid I won't get along with my roommates. I already know them, and they're all rich (I'm lower class and will be paying my tuition on my own, can't afford a car, will barely be able to afford groceries) and one of them drives a fucking hybrid and they all have MacBooks and idk they're just really spoiled. I'm also concerned about politics and stuff with an election coming up, I am super liberal and left wing I just have an open mind to everything and everyone and I don't think they're like that and I'm afraid they could start conflicts with me.
I'm also afraid of not having a car. I know there's buses but those are expensive and don't go everywhere.
Idk I'm just getting cold feet I guess. I was so excited and now I'm terrified.
