Opks...can some be lighter before ovulation?

Hi,

I'm doing my first ever opk because my period is irregular due to birth control. I started testing on cd8, right after my period. Today is cd11 and my test strip is really light compared to the first 3 days and that makes me nervous. Has this happened to anyone else where the test strip gets lighter and they haven't ovulated yet?

Your urine could just be more diluted. Try to limit how much water you drink a couple hours beforehand :)

I tested daily in the am and pm at the same times of the day. When I finally got a positive test (test line was darker than control line) I freaked! Thankfully my hubby and I bd'd every other day- now I'm just waiting to see if I get my period or a BFP! Period due on 8/2 (I think). Last month I got my period due to taking Provera because for some odd reason it didnt come on its own. (1st time TTC and first missed period ever-it totally messed with me) Keep testing and hang in there 💞
