Pregnancy testing

Just curious, see a lot of posts on here of women saying they are X amount of days past AF due date, and listing symptoms and asking opinions if ppl can advise if they might be pregnant or not. (Some up to over two weeks late for AF)

I don't understand why they're not taking a pregnancy test to find out, if they're that late. And instead just asking for the pinions of us ladies on here. Especially when the general responses are "take a test and let us know". Can anyone explain this to me?

I'm not trying to sound rude, it just seems a bit silly to me, and i really don't understand it. If you're that worried and think you are pregnant and af is late, why aren't you taking a hpt?
