I really don't understand why people even voted for the moms. It's both. Both people are suddenly parents. It's pretty selfish to think you're the only one whose life changes.

I put both equally but I think it depends in the situation. If it's a stay at home mom, most of the changes are going to be in her. If it's a stay at home dad most of the changes will be on him. If it's a single mom or single dad, all changes will fall on that single parent. But all in all I think changes fall on both parents equally even if one is a stay at home parent.

In my situation, my life changes. He is still going to the military as he would've if I weren't pregnant and the only difference now is that he loses a portion of his check. Such a sacrifice 😒. In circumstances where the parents are both involved it's equal. In situations where one parent is a dead beat, it's the one taking care of the kids.

Both!!!!!!  Even if the mom becomes a SAHM, dads life is still going to change a lot.  He is going to have another life to take care of, love, and worry about.  He will still be taking care of baby, changing diapers, etc.  his relationship with his wife is going to change.. He won't have much alone time with her anymore, sex life will probably change a little or a lot, depending on the couple, he can't just ask her to go out spontaneously... He won't be able to spend whatever money he wants on himself anymore...

I just made this all about dad, since so many of yall think only moms life changes.

I say bout of our. We will both be living in a house with a newborn and a toddler, we will both split the responsibility of caring for both of our children. I may be a SAHM and he may be working all day but bothe of our lives will change differently but equally. I'm not going to discredit him by saying my life changes more because he goes to work and I stay home. My husband now has the responsibility of providing for 4 people instead of 3.  Also, the hardest part of a newborn is waking up in the middle of the night which I can admit my husband does more than me. Now ask me this question again if he gets deployed sooner than we expect and my answer will probably be different lol.
