"I don't agree"
What really kills me a lot is people saying the phrase "I don't agree with..." When talking about something that is not an opinion.
Take vaccines for instance.
What are you not agreeing with? I mean you could say, "I don't agree that vaccines are a good thing and that all the research is invalid." Or "I don't agree that any good will come out of getting vaccinated" but you can just simply say I don't agree with vaccines. Vaccines are not an opinion, you can't simply "disagree" with them.
The ones that really kill me are when you say "I don't agree with homosexuality". What are you disagreeing with? I mean the only thing I can equate that to is "I don't agree that homosexuality is a life that anyone should live" or "I don't agree that homosexuality should be a thing". And that's homophobic. Honestly, you saying "I don't agree with" pretty much means you don't like. I don't like vaccines. Then say it. Don't attempt to sugar coat it by saying "I don't agree with it". That's like me walking up to an autistic kid and saying "I don't agree with autism" or walking up to a white person and saying "I don't agree with being white". You simply cannot disagree with something that is. I mean no one says "I disagree with rapists" or "I disagree with aging". You can only disagree with opinions and stances. Homosexuality is not a stance or opinion. Vaccines are not a stance, abortion is not a stance, circumcision is not a stance. It's just something people do.
