So many birth control options..
So I have an appointment on Friday with my doctor to discuss birth control options but I wanted to come on here and ask for your personal opinions! There are tons of options for birth control and I have been cramming myself with tons of information on all of them but I can't seem to make a decision. Aside from wanting a dependable birth control, I am hoping to get one that will also ease the flow of my period or stop it all together and hopefully control my acne. My best friend swears on the IUD since it is effective quickly and can be removed the moment I'm ready to have a child, but I'm honestly scared to have something inserted.. And I've heard awful stories about it moving and causing problems. Two friends of mine tried the implant and both ended up having serious infections causing them to need surgery to have it removed. My mom swears on the shot but I've heard about so many side effects such as hair loss and weight gain. I'm leaning more towards the pill but I am worried that it won't be as effective as other options. I'm also really scared that any of these birth controls might cause problems when I want to conceive in the future... My question to you ladies, is what birth controls have you experienced, which do you recommend, and do you have any general advice like questions I should ask my doctor or tips for any of the birth controls? Also, is there a reason to worry that I won't be able to conceive in the future if I get on any birth control?
