How did you announce your pregnancies?

The S-I-L thinks it's childish to have and creative announcements, and you shouldn't have a child if you can't just come out with it. I want to know if anyone has made a pregnancy announcement over Facebook or sent them to relatives....?

Hubby and I are gamers. This was our fb announcement. Woo buddy, doesn't get more childish than this does it 😉 it'll be a good memory and start for the baby book.

First one was at 5 weeks on Facebook, second was at 14 weeks on Facebook. Be creative, have fun with it if you want! Your sil has no part in this.  Frankly she sounds jealous.

I think creative announcements are cute. If it's something you're into then by all means go right ahead. You're only pregnant with this baby once, you might as well make every detail special. Congratulations!

I didn't really do anything special for my first one. I know it's super early to announce but I just did this for this time around. I had my son hold it up.

If it's not your SIL having the baby then she has no say it how the announcement is made. It really frustrates me when people say things like "if you do this, you're too immature for this" or "if you do this, you're not ready for this." You don't get to judge what I am or am not ready for.

Unfortunately people will always judge, especially when you get pregnant and have kids. I haven't told my family we're TTC because my mom would probably tell me I'm too young. I also haven't told her that when we do have kids I'm going to be a sahm. I was raised by a nanny and I don't want my child raised by a nanny, or growing up in day care when I am perfectly capable of doing it. That's my choice though, and I know others will judge me, but my husband and I have made the decision together and it's what we both want.

What it comes down to though, is do what YOU want to do, and try not to let others get to you.

After I found out I bought a last minute ticket to California to tell my family in person. After coming back to Iowa my fiance and I told her family.

I have it all worked out my partner is into cars I have a red one he has a blue one we buy a little car and paint it purple and see how many people get it lol
