Would you travel 2-3 months after having a baby?

Just a general question. Would you travel 2-3 months after having a baby and would you take the baby? 
My husband's family would like to go on a trip next December but I planned on having a baby hopefully in October. Should I say no just in case? Should I say yes and go and possibly bring a baby or have my mom babysit for a week?? Sounds crazy to leave your baby for so long. Not sure.

Hey, I've found you can't plan that well when you want to have baby. I've bee puttin off booking a holiday now for a year cause i kept saying I'll be heavily preg then...or we will have a baby then. Turns out we wouldn't have, however 1yr 1/2 later trying it's finally happened and I will be going on a family holiday 8months preg now! Lol. I says book it, I felt like I stopped living while Tryin for this baby. Xxx

You're not pregnant yet, so I would just say yes. If it turns out that you need to change plans down the road due to pregnancy or a baby, then you can do so when it comes to that point. But I wouldn't worry about trying to plan around a possible future pregnancy (which is hard enough for most people to plan in & of itself).

I did I flew from Alaska to arkansas when my son was two weeks old it was a 16 hour flight

I personally would not fly with a 2-3 month old in December just because of how germ infested airports and airplanes are. Not to mention the number of sick people who travel during the holidays and the number of non vaccinated people lately

How far is the trip? 
I would never leave my infant alone that long, but the distance would determine whether or not I would go.

We plan on driving 1200 miles when our baby is roughly 8 weeks old.

Our daughter was 6 weeks when we moved 2000 miles away - and drove. She slept the entire time. The best invention ever was the portable bottle warmer. It plugs into the cigarette lighter and it only took about 5 minutes to heat up.

My husband's parents took him to the U.S. From Europe at just a few weeks old. Hard but doable! I hope to fly with my baby around 2 months, to meet her great grandparents who cannot travel anymore.
