I also wanted to mention that a year later after my surgery I came out pregnant. I am trying to conceive with my second child now. There is hope even with a full thyroidectomy, especially once your TSH levels are normal. I had doctors tell me it would be hard for me to get pregnant and the internet didn't help either. From experience I can say with full thyroidectomy... it didn't stop me from conceiving.

I had my TT in 3/16....just 3 weeks ago we decided to officially start trying. all of my drs assured me you can have a healthy pregnancy post TT. I'm on Metformin and have regular periods every month, but this month I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate. fertile window ends tomorrow but I've been OPK testing since last week and only moderate lines, no "light ups". I've been losing weight every few months too, so im hoping my body is just adjusting.

Yes I had a full thyroidectomy 3 years ago due to thyroid papillary cancer. A year later after the full thyroidectomy my Hormone level was normal.

I had a full thyroidectomy and was able to conceive within 2 months of trying. My endocrinologist said it was just all about my TSH being at the right levels and getting my dosage right.

Yes we are. I hope that our lack of conceiving is due to our schedules and not my thyroidectomy. I beat myself about it bc my thyroid removal was optional but for preventative measures. My family has a terrible history with thyroid cancer and the strain they had can be difficult to detect. So my doctors recommended removal. I just get down bc prior to this I got pregnant with our daughter not trying and now they it seems that we are trying no baby :-( been ttc for a year.
