False alarm 😩

Well I'm 40+2 today. Woke up at 3.30am with pains in the stomach- fairly constant, coming and going in waves but nothing timeable. I got checked out by my doctor and she said I was having contractions and if the pain hadn't gone away in 2 hours go to hospital (hubby and I live an hour and a half away so regardless it was better for us to be in the city in case). Kept having the pains, left at lunch time and they continued for the whole trip (in waves). They stopped when we got to the hospital 😩 (after 11 hours!). They did a stretch and sweep and now it's just a waiting game. So frustrating and disappointing. I really thought this was it...
