Shot as a birth control?! I'm a newbie please help!

So I've been using a shot as birth control for about almost three months now and my cycle has been changing dates constantly and before I used any contraceptive my timing was really precise, plus I've been a little over the edge lately and I need to know if anyone knows if its normal... or what should I expect
