Diaper genie... Yes or no?

My registry is just about done. Is a diaper genie worth getting?

Something about them doesn't make sense to me. You have a trash can specifically for stinky diapers...and ok yes babies produce a lot of them but I find it gross to have a bin full of nasty diapers that may take a few days to fill/empty. I would rather have a small grocery bag that I throw away everyday or every diaper change. Even putting them in a kitchen garbage bin with a lid makes more sense to me, they get changed out daily almost at my house. Oh the joys...💩💩💩

Try looking into the diaper dekor (it takes regular garbage bags, had a lock, and can be a normal trash can later on). No matter what you do I suggest putting poopy diapers in a grocery bag and outside in the trash right away.

We used a diaper jenie with our first but got tired of buying the bags. We are going on our fourth baby and just use grocery bags and never have any issues with smell.

I love mine! Really keeps the stink out, at least until they are like 1ish. They have generic Walmart refills for half the price.

Honestly if you want it than get it but I'd say it doesn't really matter because I change my garbage bags nightly and I just tye them in a small grocery bag. No smell at all.....

We love our disper genie. No smell, no mess and its easy to quickly change refill. We are actually buying a second one for downstairs.

I've heard the diaper genie can be nasty to change - if you're not careful, you can get a looooooong strand of old poopy diapers!  😖💩
